Architectural Sauna Design Without the Large Footprint
The KC ICON 160 brings the upright space and contemporary character of a cube sauna into a compact approximately 1.96 × 1.60m footprint.
Its softened corners distinguish it from a conventional garden room, while the full bronzed-glass front brings daylight into the hot room and frames the surrounding garden. Inside, a two-level bench arrangement provides a more natural sitting position and additional room behind the shoulders when compared with a tightly curved barrel of similar depth.
Designed for personal routines, couples and occasional three-person use, the ICON 160 can be supplied as a precision flat-pack cabin or completed through KeiCo with the heater, base, installation, timber protection, lighting and aftercare coordinated as one project.

The ICON 160 combines a softened external profile with straighter internal wall sections. This creates useful room behind the shoulders and a clearer relationship between the benches, heater and entrance.
The two-level bench arrangement allows users to choose a higher or lower position within the room. The compact depth remains particularly well suited to one or two people, while the nominal three-person capacity offers flexibility for a small shared session.
The full glass frontage makes the room feel visually larger and maintains a connection with the garden. Its bronzed tint moderates the view into the sauna, although privacy will change according to internal lighting, external daylight and the final orientation.
Thermowood with Full-Height Glazing
The cabin is formed with approximately 42mm Thermowood side walls and 28mm end-wall construction. Heat treatment improves the timber’s dimensional stability and reduces moisture movement compared with untreated softwood while retaining a warm natural finish.
The full front uses 8mm tempered safety glass. Because glass loses heat differently from timber, it must be included in the heater calculation rather than treated as a decorative detail.
The roof is completed with underlay and bitumen shingles. Exterior timber requires prompt protective treatment and ongoing inspection, even where Thermowood is used. Any finish applied inside the hot room must be suitable for sauna temperatures.

The structure is supplied without a heater unless the selected package expressly includes one.
Heater choice is restricted by the confirmed cabin volume, full-glass frontage, safety clearances and available power. KeiCo will only present electric or wood-fired packages that have been approved for the exact ICON 160 configuration.

Dimensions and Site Preparation
The external cabin measures approximately 1,960mm wide × 1,600mm deep × 2,100mm high, with an approximate packed weight of 600kg. Final dimensions, base-beam positions and service points must follow the source-specific technical drawing.
A level, load-bearing and well-drained base is required. Before permanent works begin, confirm the allocated production source and its exact drawing, including base positions, door orientation, heater location, electrical or flue route and maintenance clearances.
Access should be reviewed for delivery-vehicle approach, pallet unloading, gates, turns, gradients and working room around the cabin.
